Mega operation in Buenos Aires against sexual exploitation

In a mega-operation against sexual exploitation, Federal Police forces rescued 70 minors, detained 20 individuals, and charged another 112 in 64 cities of Buenos Aires and targets in Tucumán. A total of 114 simultaneous raids were conducted throughout the province in order to dismantle a network of abuse, grooming, corruption of minors, production and distribution of pornography, among other abhorrent crimes.

According to the investigation carried out, it was discovered that 16 of the suspects worked in direct contact with minors and another 67 lived with them. The detainees, adult Argentines, were placed at the disposal of the intervening magistrate for the crime of Distribution, Production, and Marketing of Child Sexual Abuse Material. It was determined that two cells in the Florencio Varela prison had been modified as "bunkers" for the storage and distribution of child sexual abuse images.

Security Minister Patricia Bullrich spoke on social media stating: "It’s over. I assure you they will pay dearly for every child they harmed." The operations were overseen by the Department of Crimes Related to Human Trafficking, Child Pornography, and Grooming.
